Reed Blank

My reed blanks are crafted using Olivia cane, with options available for both students and professionals. Each blank is seasoned for at least two weeks to ensure a longer lifespan.

Student Oboe Reed Template:

Cane: Olivia
Hardness: Soft
Shape: Hortnagl 9
Gouging: 0.55-0.56 mm
Diameter: 10.75 mm

Professional Oboe Reed Template:

Cane: Olivia
Hardness: Medium
Shape: RC12
Gouging: 0.55–0.56 mm
Diameter: 10.75 mm

Blanks are 2 mm longer than the final reed length.
